We executed a comprehensive overhaul of OKTA WIC’s security and identity management systems, focusing on several key enhancements. The project included the implementation of ThreatInsight for proactive threat blocking, Lifecycle Policy Management to streamline identity management, and improvements in the Off-Network User Enrolment Process with MFA grace periods. We introduced self-service password resets, Device Trust Contextual Access, and Okta FastPass Authentication to enhance user convenience and security. Additionally, we expanded the onboarding of applications into Okta and deployed Adaptive MFA to adjust security measures based on risk assessments. Our efforts also involved significant integrations and upgrades, including linking Okta with Mulesoft and ServiceNow to optimize workflows and automate processes with business office tools. We upgraded from the Okta Classic Engine to the Okta Identity Engine (OIE) for advanced functionality, and performed an Agent Server OS upgrade from Windows Server 2012 to supported versions (2019 and 2022). Finally, we conducted a comprehensive High-Level Security Assessment (HLSA) to ensure robust security across all project streams, ultimately modernizing and enhancing OKTA WIC’s identity and access management infrastructure.
